Home/About TI EMEA

Our journey in EMEA began in 1956

Our passion for engineering a better future motivates us at TI’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) sites every day. Our research and development labs in Germany, Israel, Norway and Finland serve as incubators for new concepts and breakthrough ideas, collaborating with top universities in the process.

Texas Instruments Deutschland GmbH, TI’s regional affiliate in Europe, has several offices around Europe and is headquartered in Freising, Germany. With around 1,500 employees from more than 60 countries, Freising is home to all support entities for sales, manufacturing and our businesses for TI’s Analog and Embedded Processing products.

Internship FAQs

In Germany alone, we offer around 100 TI internships each year. The great thing is that it is possible to complete an internship in almost any department of our company. Whether in technical areas (such as manufacturing, sales, development or test labs) or in nontechnical areas (such as human resources, digital marketing, communications or finance), we have something for everyone.

There is no predefined duration or fixed starting time for our internships, though most internships range between 6 to 12 months. However, depending on where your internship is located, this could range between 2 months and up to 2 years. While the final duration will depend on the department’s respective project and demand, we do our best to be flexible to fit your needs.

In addition to an internship, students can also complete their bachelor’s or master’s thesis at TI if a suitable topic is available. In the absence of a suitable topic, many students use the opportunity to network with managers during their internship to find a topic that is interesting for both sides.

At TI, we place a high value on developing our interns by providing a meaningful experience that will benefit them in the future. This includes a structured feedback program to ensure that the company evaluates all interns according to the same criteria. Performance discussions occur between managers and interns in the middle of internships so that interns learn of any strengths and areas for improvement, while a final meeting gives interns a chance to show further development by the end of the program.

Yes, absolutely! In addition to mandatory internships, we are always happy to welcome voluntary interns. Our interns often take the opportunity to extend their time at TI and supplement the duration of their mandatory internship with a voluntary one.

Yes. We are always looking to retain strong candidates and welcome the opportunity to stay in touch after the completion of an internship. We also offer work placements to give students the opportunity to bridge the time until the end of their studies. In many cases, we will extend an offer to high-performing interns to return full time and assume one of our New College Graduate positions.

We don’t offer internships for secondary school students. We do, however, offer opportunities for students to familiarize themselves with TI as a company. For example, we host an annual event for Girls’ Day.

Yes. In addition to meaningful projects and experiences, we offer every intern a competitive salary.

No. You do not need to complete an internship to be considered for a permanent position at TI.

We invest in female talent in STEM for today and tomorrow

The number of women in technical roles continues to increase as we focus on developing and building our female talent. Here are some of the programs that we offer:

  • Formalized development programs such as Women for Technical Leadership help us retain and develop women into leadership roles.
  • We also provide purposeful opportunities for women through the EMEA Women’s Initiative, along with peer-to-peer connection and mentoring programs.
  • We are committed to giving back to our community by investing in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) initiatives such as Girls’ Day in Germany, having participated since 2004, and are a member of the Bavarian government initiative BayFiD, which is a mentorship program for women entering into STEM careers.

These opportunities give women – including those in early career technical roles – the opportunity to form important relationships, and to have visibility into how other women at TI have successfully pursued technical or managerial career paths.

We support the communities in which we operate

Employees have the opportunity to volunteer for a wide variety of organizations, including those that aim to help children and individuals with disabilities, as well as education and STEM initiatives. Across TI EMEA sites, we work with local schools and the community to provide better access to education and support STEM initiatives. We have long-standing partnerships with European organizations such as the European Book Banks Federation to help address local needs within the European countries in which we operate.
