FAST – Technical Sales Engineer Track
Technical sales engineers are TI’s front-line problem solvers – tackling customer challenges, seeking out new projects and winning new business.
This role allows you to become a product expert and go-to-engineer for the advancement of our customers understanding and forecasting.
Here you have a direct influence on company strategy – leveraging your technical knowledge to develop and execute on customer objectives, making a meaningful impact for our company.
FAST – Applications Engineer Track
Field application engineers are our customers trusted advisors; developing an in-depth understanding of our customers product development and solving technical challenges along the way.
As a FAE at TI you combine your strong technical capabilities with business and product knowledge, to understand and anticipate our customer’s needs.
Your role as a FAE makes you a front-line problem solver, leveraging your expertise and TI’s methods to identify the best solutions using TI components.

Technical Sales Engineer Program overview:
Total program length: 7 months
During this traineeship you’ll cover three rotation cycles in different departments, to gain insights into the different aspects of your role and to dive into innovative projects from day one.
Rotation 1 (Field Sales Office ~ 3 months): In one of our Field Sales Offices you’ll get to join the team on customer visits, learn all about our sales process and how to sell across our broad product portfolio.
Rotation 2 (Freising, Germany ~ 6 weeks): In Sales Operations you’ll work with sales and marketing teams to learn how we competitively price and ship products to customers through our supply chain.
Rotation 3 (Freising, Germany ~ 2 months) In Product Marketing you learn how to grow, attract and engage customers with broad and targeted promotions, as well as learn how we build our product roadmap.
Field Applications Engineer Program overview:
Total program length: 11 months
During this rotation program track you’ll cover two rotation cycles. You drive deep technical discussions with customers and internal teams, to bring TI technologies and next-generation innovations around the world.
Rotation 1 (Field Sales Office ~6 months): In one of our Field Sales Offices you build your expertise in our customers end products by partnering with technical sales engineers to understand customer design challenges and create innovative solutions using TI products.
Rotation 2 (Freising, Germany ~5 months): In Systems Engineering & Marketing you build your expertise in end equipment systems by learning industry needs and trends, and create reference designs for our customers to use.
Preferred qualifications:
If you have strong problem solving and communication skills, are able to collaborate in a team, and would like to shape the future of semiconductor engineering needs with customers in the automotive and industrial sectors, this program is for you!
