Our journey in India began in 1985

Attracted by the country’s engineering talent, TI established an R&D center in Bangalore in 1985, becoming the first global technology company to set up such a facility. Soon, other tech companies followed, transforming Bangalore into India’s Silicon Valley, as it is known today. TI is recognized in India for its talent and innovation and for sowing the seeds of semiconductor technology in the country.

Today, the Bangalore R&D center is the largest outside of the company’s headquarters in Dallas, TX, USA.

Work on complex end-to-end development of devices

Our teams in India are responsible for end-to-end product development. Product ownership means our teams work on all aspects of product development, including design, test, validation, verification including interfacing with systems teams and our customers. Our philosophy is simple – if we don’t know what our customers want, we cannot build the right solutions.

We love building great products that push the limits of technology, and we are equally invested in making successful products that add tangible value to our customers. This requires strong technical knowledge combined with an in-depth understanding of our customer and markets.

If you are part of our R&D teams, you will quickly recognize that everyone brings something important to the table – whether you are straight out of college or someone with years of experience – what you say and do, matters.

“As a digital engineer, I get to work on several areas like processor core architecture, IP development and integration, electrical circuit design, device manufacturability and testing analysis, etc. The exposure to holistic phases of the device development cycle, right from system spec to device deployment and production, is very exciting.”
Shubham, Digital Design Engineer, Radar, Embedded Processor
