Are you looking to grow your career in testing at one of the leading semiconductor companies in the world? At Texas Instruments (TI) a Test Engineer is part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. In this role, the Test Engineer prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, completes specifications and procedures for new products.
Responsibilities include:• Support development and implementation of strategies to achieve profitability targets on assigned product lines through new products development, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield enhancement projects.
• Responsible for all aspects of engineering activities associated with portfolio management.
• Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues; optimize test time
• Work with production team for productivity, delivery and quality improvement
• ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) test hardware and software
• Comprehensive device debugging, design validation and failure analysis
• Primary point of contact for all operational aspects related to assigned portfolio, including supply chain management, manufacturing, quality, customer service, sales and marketing, technical publications, document control, etc.
• Take ownership for resolving customer quality and application issues on assigned product lines.
• Lead and facilitate cross function teams for problem solving. This includes coordination activities with Product Engineers in other regions to achieve common goals.
• Take leadership role to establish relationships with key contacts in wafer fabrication and assembly manufacturing sites to ensure strong communication and effective problem solving
Minimum requirements:
• Bachelors in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 1 to 3 years of experiences like test engineer, test product engineer, or relevant experiences
• Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits their operation and analysis
Preferred qualifications:
• 1-3 years relevant experience as a Product Engineer, Device Engineer or Test Engineer
• Must be knowledgeable in semiconductor device physics and assembly & test manufacturing processes.
• Possesses a strong understanding of electronics, circuit design and layout processes.
• Extensive knowledge of statistics and tools to analyze large amounts of characterization data and determine and set production test limits and predict yield data
• Have working knowledge of what is required to take a product from development stage to production
• Ability to work in a team setup comprising of other functional groups
• Position demands excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
• Possess track record of effective problem-solving, good engineering judgment and decision-making skills.
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Strongly driven to produce results in timely fashion and having strong sense of competitive urgency.
• Must be willing to travel overseas for training and assignments.
