Responsibilities include:

  • Support production activities through maximizing up-time and performance of critical process equipment.
  • Assume ownership of maintaining and calibrating production tools in accordance with specifications.
  • Improve tool up-time availability and utilization efficiency.
  • Improve Preventive Maintenance strategies and protocols.
  • Conduct systematic troubleshooting of equipment-related problems to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Work closely with process engineers to understand equipment interactions and limitations relative to operating specifications.
  • Solve critical equipment issues, leveraging on experience and systematic approach.
  • Identify and pursue potential opportunities for hardware capability enhancement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects to improve quality, cost, and cycle time

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Applied Science, Physics or related engineering degree
  • 8 + years of relevant engineering experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment in any of the following modules: PVD, CVD, IMPLANT, EPI, CMP, PLASMA
  • Able to read and understand electrical, mechanical and instrumental schematics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Equipment expertise in any of the following modules: PVD, CVD, IMPLANT, EPI, CMP, PLASMA AMAT, EBARA, ASM, AXCELIS equipment and processes.
  • Willing and able to rapidly learn, own, and contribute to performance of all above tool sets not currently experienced on
  • Experience with tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, and SPC techniques. Experienced with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and  behaviors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationship
