Thinfilm Process Engineer (Sherman, Texas)

Texas Instruments is looking for an energetic engineer with a passion for process. This position provides the opportunity to drive continual improvement at all levels. Our team is primarily focused on driving improved procedures and processes. We are searching for a self-directed, highly motivated engineer to join our team.

 

The responsibilities of a SM1 Thinfilm Process Engineer in this role include:

  • Support startup of multiple 300mm processes under an aggressive timeline
  • Continuously improve processes to deliver world class process yield, cycle time, and cost
  • Implement robust APC and comprehensive fault detection strategies for your processes
  • Execute lot dispositions, process tuning, and process experiments (SWRs) as needed
  • Quickly gather and analyze data to resolve issues and escalate to management as needed
  • Work with cross module teams to identify and solve complex integration problems
  • Work with PI/PDE Team on parametric shifts, process yield, and probe yield issues
  • Support the continuous flow of production material to minimize cycle time
  • Provide effective communication (written and verbal) of project status and any process issues
  • Work closely with the manufacturing, EE, YE, and PI/PDE organizations in SM1

Minimum requirements:

  • 1 year of semiconductor manufacturing engineering experience owning Thinfilm CVD or PVD processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering degree

Preferred qualifications:

  • Currently in a Process Engineer role
  • Experience in 300mm manufacturing
  • Process tuning and troubleshooting experience
  •  Ability to analyze metrology data and interpret tool errors
  •  Willingness to own multiple processes within the a module
  •  Ability to work with aggressive timelines and drive for timely results
  •  Likes being in the cleanroom doing hands-on work
  •  Puts team first and values collaboration
